2019: A look ahead

The decorations are down, the dust has settled and the dreaded Crimbo Limbo seems like a distant memory. The new year is a great time for looking ahead. Now that we’re well and truly back in the swing of things, here’s a look at some of the exciting things we have planned for 2019. This year is a very special one for us as we celebrate 45 years in business. Yep, we can’t quite believe it, but we first started printing in 1974 and millions of mugs have left our factory over the years (stay tuned for a retrospective post on the blog soon).

We’re a forward-thinking bunch though, always looking at the latest trends. With that in mind, travel mugs seemed like a natural choice for us. Our ceramic travel mugs have all the style and quality you’d expect from us in an eco-friendly, convenient product. There will be twelve designs available at launch from two of our most popular designers, Orla Kiely and Cammy Thomson. Available soon.

Our first licenced design was Simon Drew way back in 1985. Since then, we’ve worked with loads of talented creators, from upcoming artists to established designers. We’re delighted to introduce two new licenced ranges. Based on a series of books, there are four cute and colourful designs in the Octopus Publishing range. Equally colourful, but with her own unique style, Rosie Made A Thing adds eight quirky, relatable designs to our product range. Both ranges are available on our website now.

There’s also been demand for new and unusual mug shapes, which resulted in the sleek and sophisticated ‘Conic’ mug. The mug tapers out towards the top and has a unique, contemporary handle. You can snap up this new style mug as part of the Lisa Macario range. We first launched Lisa’s timely and political slogans on our mugs back in September. Read more about her embroidered designs in this blog post.

Last, but certainly not least, you’ll soon be able to order personalised baubles for a range of occasions. Our luxury bone china baubles come gift boxed with an ultra soft velvet ribbon in a range of colours and make excellent keepsakes for Christmas, weddings, or whatever occasion you can dream up.

We hope you enjoy browsing our website and find products to delight and inspire you.
