Periodic Table mug spotted on Q’s desk in Bond film

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

After two years and numerous delays, the latest entry into the James Bond franchise, No Time To Die, hits UK cinemas later this month. While fans will be clamouring for action, gadgets and iconic villains, Mclaggan are looking forward to the film’s release for an altogether different reason. The manufacturer’s best-selling Periodic Table mug has been spotted on Q’s desk.

The mug features a full-colour wraparound print of the periodic table of the elements, with chemical elements arranged by atomic number, electron configuration, and recurring chemical properties. Each screen-printed design is applied to bone china mugs by hand before being fired in kilns overnight.

Stuart Williams, marketing manager, said: “Eagle-eyed Bond fans first spotted our mug in promotional photos for the film in 2019. We’ve been patiently waiting for the film’s release ever since!"

“Bond and Scotland have a long history,” he continued. “As a Scottish manufacturer, we’re delighted our mug can be seen in such a fitting and iconic franchise. We’re no stranger to the screen, with our mugs popping up on some well-known programmes over the years, including Celebrity Big Brother, Lorraine and Gogglebox.”

Available in three sizes from the Official James Bond 007 Store, John Lewis and Mclaggan’s website: www.msmugs.com
